About this event

What do you do when AI has helped create a witness statement, document or other material you’re being asked to rely on?

Join The Profession for a practical discussion about AI and evidence, centred on situations lawyers may encounter in everyday practice. We’ll explore the questions to ask, the checks to consider and the issues to address before material becomes part of your case.

What we’ll cover

• AI-assisted witness statements: identifying how AI was used and preserving the witness’s own account.

• Documents, screenshots and recordings: approaching questions of authenticity and reliability, including when expert assistance may be needed.

• Expert reports and court material: considering applicable court requirements, disclosure and verification.

• Practical next steps: discussing concerns with clients and deciding what further enquiries to make.

The session includes time for questions.

Who should attend?

Lawyers who prepare, review or rely on evidence, particularly sole practitioners, small-firm lawyers and litigators looking for a practical introduction to these issues.
