The Profession Social Series

Women of the Law

Small, local social groups for women in the Australian legal profession.

Women of the Law
The Profession Social Series brings members together in small, local groups — no panels, no CPD, no sponsors pitching from a lectern. Just a standing catch-up with practitioners who live and work near you. Women of the Law is the first series. Register your interest in the area closest to you. We organise capped cohorts, and once a group fills we set it up as a Profession-hosted group with a local ambassador, a roster you can see, and dates in the diary. Groups are capped at 15 so they stay a conversation rather than an event.

How it works

  1. Register for each region you'd realistically travel to on a weeknight.
  2. We form small cohorts — a group opens once there are enough members nearby, and each group is capped at 15 so it stays a conversation, not a conference.
  3. When your group forms we'll set it up as a Profession-hosted meetup, add you to it, and nominate an ambassador to lead the first catch-up.

Registration is the first step. Complete verification in your member dashboard before you'll be accepted into a confirmed meetup. Registration numbers aren't shown publicly. You'll hear from us directly when your group is ready.
